About Me

Who am I?

As a therapist, I have seen depression become depth and authenticity. I have seen anger become power and clarity. I have seen vengeance become a hunger for justice, genuine love in public. I have seen ugliness become the divinest beauty. I have seen body fat become protection and self-love. I have seen addictions to cocaine become the ability to rise above the worst oppression. I have seen fear become true vulnerability and heart-openness. I have seen sadness become deep joy. Friends, don’t be fooled by what you see as your problems, inside of them may be the seed of what you’ve been looking for, even spirit or God.” — David Bedrick

FB Share ImageI honor the courage it takes to embark on a healing journey. I know that it usually starts because you’re experiencing profound pain. I want all my clients to know that it’s possible to move through sadness and despair to a place of self-compassion, resilience, happiness and satisfaction.

I know how overwhelming and confusing it is to lose someone you love, or face the facts that some people will never be what you need them to be.

Are you scared to talk about your feelings?
Do you not want to burden anyone with your problems?

You may think you’re alone, but you’re not. A professional counselor can help.

Finding the right connection with someone is important. Once you do, therapy will provide you with the tools to heal and return to living a rich, hopeful life with grace and ease. I want that healing for you. That’s why I love what I do.

Originally from Asheville, I went to graduate school in Philadelphia and then happily returned home. I have been a professional in the mental health field since 2010.  In addition to professional counseling, I also work as a licensed massage therapist. While I keep my counseling and massage therapy practice separate, I understand how the mind, body, and spirit are linked.

In my free time I enjoy being in the mountains of Western North Carolina. You can also find me dancing, painting, traveling to new places, and learning new things. I have a golden retriever named Cloud who I love to cart around with my everywhere that I can. She can even join us in therapy sessions, if you like animals.
